Although orthodontic treatment is not painful thanks to modern technology, we have to admit that it does involve some sacrifice in some respects. As well as being unusual at first, you have to learn how to clean it properly, you have to get used to wearing it and, if that’s not enough, you’re also given a list of foods that are not allowed.
With all this in mind, it’s understandable why we’re so happy when the device comes off, and not only can we tear off that list and get back to our old habits – but we can greet a new, confident self in the mirror with a bright, regular, healthy smile.
