Our special test
At Hermann Dental and Medical Health Centre, the first examination consists of two parts and takes place in two separate sessions. This is necessary so that we can recommend the most ideal orthodontic treatment for you based on the most comprehensive results. Our practice only provides health-focused treatments, which means that you will not only have a beautiful, regular smile, but also a significantly improved quality of life: better posture, sleep, well-being, energy levels and a more contoured face; literally rejuvenated.

Step one: diagnostics (60 minutes)
Your first session will include an all-round assessment, including:
- taking a medical history
- a joint definition of individual goals and motivation
- oral and tongue examination
- OP and teleradiography
- oral, facial and body radiographs
- assessment of infant reflexes
- speech and language therapy tests
- range of motion tests
- muscle strength assessments
- balance assessments
- posture and movement assessment

Step two: consultation (60 minutes)
The second appointment will take place a few days after the diagnosis, by which time Dr. Gábor Hermann (your future orthodontist) will have analysed all the results of the examination with his highly qualified and expert colleagues (speech therapist and physiotherapist). During the consultation, the Doctor will present these results, outline possible goals, suggest the best treatment for you and, of course, answer all your questions. He will also provide you with a complete treatment plan and a quotation.

Dr. Gábor Hermann is a member of the European Society of Sleep Dentistry, the European Society of Sports Dentistry and is currently President of IFUNA International. HermannOrtho’s sleep dentistry is currently one of a kind in the country. If you have tried the health insurance covered Therasnore but could not get used to it or it does not work and you do not use it, visit HermannOrtho and try the 3D printed protrusion rails. As an IT student doing his Master’s, it is fantastic to see that the new technologies that I study about are already in use at HermannOrtho. Gábor always does his best to further improve his knowledge in fields beyond but connected to orthodontics. I can guarantee that except for a few exceptions not too many orthodontic specialists would know what the abbreviation “CG” stands for.

During a sleep study, I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnoea by a polygraph.
I had frequent breathing blackouts (over 15 per hour!!!), snoring and dry mouth during my sleep, which often left me feeling sleepy and tired the next day. As well as being a serious health risk, driving is not allowed in this state, as there is a significant risk of accidents.
The doctor who examined me recommended the use of a CPAP machine, which I hired, but unfortunately I could not get used to it and sleep properly for several nights. Fortunately, I was advised (thanks David!) to contact HermannOrth.
After a thorough examination, within a few days I had a dental splint made for me to use at night, which controls the position of the jaw during sleep (the jaw cannot slide backwards when relaxed, so the airway is much less likely and less likely to be blocked), allowing air to flow freely. The “splint” itself is a transparent, plastic brace-like device that is quick and easy to get used to. After about 1 week of use, two consecutive nightly control tests were performed with a sleep monitor.
I received the specialist’s opinion, which speaks for itself: “2 consecutive nights of polygraph sleep tests did not confirm sleep apnoea syndrome, no hypoxia…”
